Weekly Photo Challenge : Close

Early Summer – A good time to enjoy beautiful flowers blossoming in the gardens.

Hydrangeas, one of those flowers that start to blossom in the month of June. They grow in flowerheads at the ends of the stems, with small fertile flowers in the middle of the and large flowers in a ring around the edge of each flowerhead.

The closeness of the little flowers made up one individual hydrangea.

Besides admiring its colour, poise and elegance, I was reminded about the closeness of my immediate and even extended family. It is definitely a blessing!

This picture was taken in a the Toshimaen Amusement Park in Tokyo when I was there last year.

There are more interesting interpretations of the theme on http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/06/15/weekly-photo-challenge-close/. Do check it out.

  4. Such a very beautiful close up image of the blue flower. Well captured . And yes, such closeness reminds me of a family that goes through life together, as a united, loving unit no matter what. Thanks.
